The club's focus is youth, youth activities and community service. Some of our sponsored activities are:
- Two $1000 academic scholarships and one vocational scholarship for Orofino High School graduates.
- Kids Fair, early May: A gathering of youth related support groups to "strut their stuff". The Kiwanis Club takes pictures of the children and provides identification cards for them.
- K-Kids is a part of our sponsored leadership program, soon to be joined by a Key Club
- Salvation Army Bell Ringing, December: the Club provides volunteers during the holiday season to ring the bell in partnership with the Eagles Club
- Participate in April in the annual Community Cleanup effort
- Pick up and dispose of Christmas trees after the holidays in early January
- Collect pop-tabs for the Ronald McDonald House
- Red Cross Blood Drive, August: organize and assist with an annual blood drive in partnership with the Rotary Club
- Provide and Maintain Kiwanis Park for public use and enjoyment
- Sponsor an annual fun run/walk, September
- Provide monetary support for the Community Concert Association, 6th grade forestry tour, Summer Reading program at the library, OCI queen candidate, Career Fair, Elementary Carnival, Halloween Carnival, and the Orofino Police Department Christmas Program. Members also give many volunteer hours to the above activities and many more.
